ZACH RANDOLPH MARION HIGH SCHOOL – 2000 Zach Randolph, “Z-Bo”, led the Marion Giants to the 4A State finals as a sophomore and helped lead the Giants to their then 7th state title in 2000 with a victory over Bloomington North. Zach became a McDonald’s All-American where he was named MVP in the game with 23 points and15 rebounds. Zach attended Michigan State to play for Coach Tom Izzo where he averaged 10.8 points a game and 6.7 rebounds his freshman year and helped the team advance to the Final Four. Following his freshman season, Zach entered the NBA Draft where he was selected in the first round by the Portland Trailblazers. Zach’s NBA Career with Portland lasted from 2001-2007 at which point he was traded to the New York Knicks. Zach was traded early in the 2008 season to the LA Clippers before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2009. Zach found a home in Memphis. Playing for the Grizzlies until 2017. During his time in Memphis, Zach helped lead them to the playoffs seven years in a row and also made his first all-star game appearance during the 2012-13 season. Zach finished his career with the Sacramento Kings in 2019. Zach became the first Memphis Grizzlies player to have his jersey retired in 2021.
