Julius MaysJULIUS MAYS MARION HIGH SCHOOL – 2008  Raymond Julius Mays (born September 4, 1989), also known as Ju, is currently a Fleet and Commercial Manager with the Carl Black Group. He was a four year starter for the Marion Giants basketball team from 2004-2008. Mays spent two seasons playing college basketball at North Carolina State University, one year at Wright State University, and finished his college basketball career as a member of the Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Program.  During his high school basketball career, Mays was named the Marion Chronicle Tribune Player of the year three times. He is the only player to receive this honor three times in the history of Grant County. During his senior season he averaged 18.6 points per game, including 44.3 percent from 3-point range. He led his team to a 24-5 record and a runner-up finish in the Indiana State 4A High School Basketball Tournament. Mays scored 21 points in the loss in the state title game.  Julius earned first-team all-state honors, was named to the Indiana State 4A all-tournament team, and was a member of the NCC first team for the third consecutive year.  Julius Mays is the son of Raymond Mays and Shirley Butler. He and his wife Terah have three beautiful children, Laiah (9 years old), Londyn (5 years old), and Julius Jr. (3 years old). He also has four sisters, ShaRaya Mays, Monique Mays, Atoya Mays, and Tanika Mays.
