Erik Barnes
Marion High School

Erik Barnes was born in Kalamazoo, MI on October 22, 1987. He grew up in Marion, Indiana where he cemented his love of golf. He has always prided himself in his work ethic...always striving to get better every year and his results bear that out. He worked his way to a golf scholarship at Austin Peay State University and eventually became the Indiana State Amateur Champion in 2009. He subsequently was the runner-up in 2010. After turning professional he progressed through the mini-tours, PGA Tour Canada and PGA Tour Latin America. He earned his Korn Ferry Tour card for 2015. He maintained a top 25 year during his rookie season on the Korn Ferry tour before an injury put an end to his year and the effects carried over into 2016. Barnes will begin his career on the PGA Tour in September 2022. Barnes currently calls Birmingham, AL home and practices out of Greystone Golf & Country Club. When not on the road he spends every moment he can with his wife Ashleigh and their sons Jaxton and Tucker.
