2009 MADISON GRANT SOFTBALL
The
2009 Madison Grant girls’ softball team can be described as the team that put
the MG softball program on the map. By winning the school’s first ever state
championship title, the Lady Argylls won the 2A softball state finals
tournament defeating Linton-Stockton, 1-0. Madison-Grant’s senior pitcher Sara
Webster helped lead Madison Grant to the shutout as sophomore Kailey Leckron
scored the only run for Madison-Grant when she entered the game as a pinch
runner scoring on a single to center field by junior Shelby Wells. The Argylls
and 15-year head coach Jay Dunlap finished their season 23-6.
