1969 Oak Hill Eagles Football Team
1969 was the begining of the "Fantastic Era" as the Golden Eagles ran past, over and through nine straight opponents while giving up only 13 points during the entire season. With such outstanding seniors as Mike Henderson, Jeff Howell, Kim Jones, Harold Hall, Don Hogan, and Alan Frank leading the way, the Eagles won the conference title and were ranked #1 Defensive Team in Indiana. The game of games was the 10-0 victory over Western in a winner-take-all contest in the next to the last game of the season. Frank Conner's 33 yard field goal put the Eagles on top for good with six minutes to play. Many honors came to several players as a great season came to an end.
