Erik Barnes was born in Kalamazoo, MI on October 22, 1987. He grew up in Marion, Indiana where he cemented his love of golf. He has always prided himself in his work ethic...always striving to get better every year and his results bear that out. 2000 MARION HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL Led by Future NBA star Zach Randolph, the Marion Giants won their then 7th state championship in 2000 defeating Bloomington North, and future NBA star Jared Jeffries. The Giants rolled through the season losing only 1 game during the entire year. Marion was ranked number 2 in the state at the end of the season and 6th in the USA Today high school rankings.
